Serenity grinned, laughing slightly. "Any last words," she murmered in Gwendolyn's ear. She pulled away slightly, baring her teeth. "No . . . . that's too easy for you," she hissed. "Way too easy." She smirked lightly. This was quite amusing to her actually. "I'll let you live, but I'll have you remember to leave Zane alone by this." She smiled as her fingers glowed slightly. She placed her index to Gwedolyn's left eye, blinding it "Now get out of my sight!" she snarled hissing slightly. She felt slightly weak now. She had used a lot of her strength. She felt herself slip back into her light side. She stood there for a brief moment before collapsing to the ground.

Gwendolyn hissed angrily, rising to her feet while blood trailed out of her eye. "Humph. You still don't understand, you stupid girl! Nothing will change who we are! The Apprentices of the Fire and Ice Warden! Nothing will change! I will HAVE to keep fighting him! It's who we are...Terciel might get another apprentice...but it still won't change." she hissed, forming a weak ball of fire in her palms, remaining eye glowing in rage, at least until she felt the flames in her hand freeze. She dropped the ice-ball-flames to the floor, screeching in rage.
"SERENITY!" Zane howled, enraged that she hadn't listened to him. e glided over to her, leaving patches of ice where he walked, breathins coming out in cold bursts.

Serenity breathhed hard for a moment, sighing. She didn't feel good. She felt drained of her energy and strength, just perfect, right? She managed to open her eyes lightly, then shut them, falling into a staste of unconsciensness.

Zane strode foreward, scooping Serenity up into his arms. "I don't blame you, Gwendolyn...she didn't listen to me when I told her not to go and hunt you down.." he said, shaking his head to the Fire Warden's apprentice. Though, the Fire and Ice Warden, along with their apprentices always fought they held a mutual respect for one another. He vanished in a blast of ice cold air, appearing in front of Aisu, scowling.

Aisu watched Zane carefully. "Let me guess . . . she did something stupid?" he asked, a smile forming on his lips. He focused his gaze on Zane. "You know she's not the brightest," he said gently.
Serenity turned in her unconsciousness, clinging to Zane, and nuzzling her face to his chest. She whimpered in pain from the bite on her wrist.

"She did do something stupid." Zane said coolly. "Namely tried to kill the Fire Warden's apprentice....and I never told her, but when I become the Ice Warden and she becomes the Fire Warden...any permanent injuries she has, I will get...and when she dies, I will die at the exact same moment..." Zane said. "That means I will lose sight in one of my eyes the second Moisoko dies or retires."

Zane shook his head lightly. "Serenity doesn't think before she acts. She never has, and she'll regret her decision this time," he said grimly. He looked at Serenity. "She just thinks to highly of you," he said after a moment. He bit his bottom lip slightly.
"Zane," muttered Serenity in her unconscious state.

Zane sighed, closing his eyes. "I suppose I will have to tell her about what will happen now that Gwendolyn is blind in one eye because of her..." he said, stroking Serenity's cheek lightly. He shook his head. "But then she'll feel bad about it and probably will go kill her just so I won't lose sight in one eye..."

Aisu looked at Zane with an icy gaze. "So if she killed the apprentice, you wouldn't die as well?" he asked curiously. He raised an eyebrow slightly.
Serenity cuddled against Zane, sighing in content.

"No. It's only when I become the Ice Warden and she becomes the Fire Warden that we are linked." Zane said. "The second we both are Wardens, we will recieve any physical, permanent wounds. So if it was me who lost the eye, when we both were Wardens, she would lose the eye as well."

Serenity opened her eyes lightly, hearing her name.

"I'm going to have to..." Zane said coolly, not even noticing that Serenity was waking up. "If Terciel, the Fire Warden, doesn't get another apprentice before I become Ice Warden and Gwendolyn the Fire Warden, I will lose sight in that exact same eye that she did."

"What!?" gasped Serenity. "Damn it! Why didn't you tell me this before? We have to talk to this Tericel guy so we can get him a new apprentice," she said with a slight nod. She grinned broadly.

"Well, I didn't find a reason to." Zane said, shaking his head. "No. We can't." he said. "Terciel has a huge temper...as to be expected from a fire element, but Gwendolyn he says has the most potential...and besides, you know how Moisoko's home is all...icy and stuff? His home is all...flamey and stuff. I'll practically melt..."
