Haru nodded his head and stepped out into the cool, night air. He walked down the steps and turned onto a small dirt path. 'Sure is pretty out tonight..'

Maranda was walking quickly, almost running. She was in a bad mood and didn't want to speak to anyone.

Haru looked behind him, Maranda's house was starting to disappear. 'I wish I knew what those two were arguing about...Maybe it was about, what was his name? Aedas?' He kept an even pace continuing on the path.

Maranda's eyes flickered warily as she walked into town. She paced quietly through the streets. It was almost too quiet.

Haru stopped next to a tree, the city lights visible in the distance. 'I think this is far enough..' He muttered, walking over to the tree and sitting against it. 'I have to think of a way to stop Akito from making me go away...I can't leave Maranda. Not now..'

Maranda sighed, walking into the mall. It was quite large. She sighed and went into one of the shops, smiling as she passed happy children.

Haru looked up at the stars, formulating plans to stay with Maranda and avoid being taken away by Hatori. 'If he comes near me tomorrow...' He growled, throwing a rock across the path.

Maranda entered a book store, sighing. She picked up Twilight. She wished her life could be more like that. Bella was happy, she could be with Edward all she wanted, but with her and Hatsuharu, that wasn't possible.

Haru sighed impatiently and stood back up, 'Forget all of this. I'm getting out of here...' He continued walking towards the city, 'Maybe if I don't stop, no one will ever find me again and I won't have to be such a pain to everyone.'

Maranda sighed slightly, going to the anime section, and picking up a book. She smiled at the first book that she picked up. "Vampire Knight." she murmered gently.

Haru finally reached the town. He covered his eyes a little from all of the bright lights and pulled them away once he had adjusted. 'Might aswell look around since I'm here...' He wandered about the lit up town passing ice-cream and ramen shops.

Maranda sat the book down, picking up a book entitled, "the Life and Times of Shigure Sohma," she blinked slightly. "Sohma," she murmered.

Haru slowed a little looking at the lights, he paused for a moment infront of a bookstore catching his breath and started to walk again shaking his head. 'I wish Maranda was here...'

Maranda sat the book down sighing. She blinked as she saw the book series Loveless. She picked up the book and smiled softly. "Ritsuka," she murmered gently, saying the main characters name.

Haru stopped again and leaned against the wall outside of the bookshop, he leaned his head against it and closed his eyes. 'Why does this have to be so damn hard?!' He slammed his fist against the wall, making a slight crack and a thudding noise.

Maranda winced slightly, pressing herself against the shelf. She kept the book close to her and began to read it.

'I need to sit down..'He grumbled noticing that there were no benches nearby except for a couch inside the bookstore. He hesitated and decided it would be better than sitting outside in the cold. He walked over, pushed the door open and quickly sat down placing his head in his hands, 'God damn it Akito....'

'I can't do this...' He mumbled kicking his crutches onto the floor. /What am I supposed to say to her? I don't like her anymore? That's a bunch of bullshit, if that was the case I would have let her get on that damn plane to California.../
