Edward Cullen sighed, he could hear everyone in the classes thoughts. Everyone except the new girl, Bella. It was odd. WHy couldn't he hear her? He was puzzled by that fact alone. There was something different about this girl, but he didn't know what.

bic: Bella Swan sat in class, feeling out of place. She hated Forks. It was always raining. She looked round to see a boy staring at her. She smiled at him and turned away. She then turned back to him and gasped quietly. He was gorgeous.

Edward Cullen scooted his chair far away from her. Damn. Why did her blood have to smell so good. He had to think. What would happen if he attacked her right there? He contemplated with himself, and finally, he decided to try and get his schedule changed. He held his breath, like all vampires could. He couldn't breathe in her scent any longer.

Bella looked at him with amazement when he moved his chair. What had she done to offend him? She had only been in Forks a few days. She stared at him. He had a face of an angel, but his eyes were hard and black and menacing. She recoiled slightly.

Edward glanced over at her. She really was different. Not like other girls in the most perspective. Why was he acting up around her? Her blood smelt SO appealing to him. He turned his head to the front of the room once more with a sigh. What was wrong with him? He wanted to attack the new girl. Although it would have been possible, if he killed some people . . . well, a lot of people, and he would get what he wanted. He tried to clear his thoughts. He grinned broadly.

Bella avoided his gaze and looked to the teacher. She had already covered this in her old school and she was bored. She wondered again what she had done to offend him.

Edward sighed. This was so puzzling. He couldn't hear this girls thoughts, and her blood was VERY tempting. He decided to get his schedule changed. As the bell rang, he was out the door in almost a heartbeat.

Bella looked and saw him shoot out the door. She looked suspicious as she thought that he had run too quickly. She walked out to the office as she had been asked to and saw him there.

Edward mumered to the receptionist. He turned, and when he saw Bella, he quickly said, "I see that there is nothing you can do for me here then," he murmered, exiting the room, headed for his silver volvo.

Bella looked from the receptionist to Edward. She was still. Then she saw him leave and she breathed a sigh and walked to the recetionist and started talking to her.

Bella walked to her truck and saw Edward in his car. She got into her truck and started driving home.
